Brian Chan of the MIT Hobby Shop can fold a pretty mean square of paper. He has a lot of intricate insect origami, but what caught my eye especially were some of his geeky designs, like this one of Wall-E. According to his website, he got interested in origami in elementary school and then picked it back up while at MIT. The designs on his website are his own and range from anime characters to tree leaves to a kraken attacking a ship. Seriously.

I have a particular fondness for the cat bus from “My Neighbor Totoro”:

Visit Brian Chan’s website to check out all his other designs. Oh, and did I mention that Chan also makes swords? Sadly, nothing is currently for sale in his Etsy shop, but I’m sure if you really needed a sword you could probably commission one.
