As we posted yesterday, teacher Todd Stowe was running a test launch of his balloon-and-camera rig in the morning to try out some new features. Looks like it worked!
The videos kinda stank but the SPOT transmitter was dead-on. The buzzer was better than that. We could hear it from a quarter-mile away. And best of all….the parachute and capsule were in the top of a pine tree. That meant I got to use my new tennis ball cannon. I have a fishing reel on the end of the gun. So, you just have to shoot a ball over the capsule, pull up a heavier rope…and pull the capsule down.
