As if a new episode of MythBusters weren’t awesome enough, the new episode airing tonight will have a special social media aspect to it. Yes, tonight, Kari Byron will be on the official MythBusters Twitter account, tweeting live about the episode and answering questions from other Twitter users.
Kari will be doing a yeoman’s job, doing two hour-long shifts on @MythBusters, for both the 9:00 Eastern and 9:00 Pacific airings of the show. Tonight’s episode is titled “Dumpster Diving,” in which Adam and Jamie determine if you should jump off a building into a dumpster, while Kari, Grant, and Tory look into a deep-sea diving myth. This episode was the last of this season that Kari filmed before going on maternity leave. (For the remainder of the season, Jessi Combs took Kari’s place.)
GeekDad readers will probably also be interested to know that Discovery Channel will have an 18-hour marathon of MythBusters for Thanksgiving Day, from 9:00AM tomorrow until 3:00AM Friday Eastern/Pacific. So, if football’s not your thing, you know what channel to turn to.
