Private Beta Invitation: Dazzboard Media Management Web Application

Internet

dazzboard_logodazzboard_logoIf you’re anything like me, you’re tired of having to use different software to load and transfer media on and between all your different devices. A new web application called Dazzboard, soon to go into public beta mode, promises to provide seamless integration of your mobile devices with each other and with popular web sites like Flickr, YouTube, and Twitter, using only your web browser and a plugin.

At present, Dazzboard supports only Windows OSes, and does not yet work with Firefox 3.5 or Google Chrome, which meant I had to try it out using IE. The list of fully supported devices is long but not comprehensive—but they promise it will expand very soon, and they do support any device that can be used in mass storage or media transfer mode. Of course, keep in mind it’s only in beta, and not in a Gmail kind of way. It worked well for me despite having to use a browser I dislike, and I think it has huge potential.

Dazzboard has kindly set up a private beta site for GeekDad readers, with 250 invitations available. The public beta launches this coming Wednesday, so if there are no invitations left for you, check back then. Let us (and Dazzboard, of course) know what you think!
