Raskulls, The forthcoming Xbox Live Arcade puzzle platformer by Australian developer Halfbrick, has received some really favorable press, with much of it centered on the game’s engaging (and adorable) art style. Recently, Halfbrick announced a contest aimed at letting gamers add to the title’s ever growing cast of humorously surreal characters. Applicants are challenged to design their own Raskull, a skeletal titan capable of holding his own in a world inhabited by knights, ninjas and… milk cartons?

Entering is simple. Download the official Raskully Profile template (below) and base your work on that. Sketches, drawings, painted, colored-in: all is fine, so long as you show us your creative side! You can draw with your tablet, print it out and work with your own materials, anything you like – just make sure the final version is submitted to us via raskulls@halfbrick.com in JPEG format, subject line DESIGN A RASKULL ENTRY, along with your name, age, country of residence and contact email address. Don’t forget to sign up to the Raskulls forum and show off your entry with the rest of the community!

The Grand Prize Winner will receive:
– Their design modeled into the final Raskulls game to be released on Xbox Live Arcade, along with artist credit
– A free copy of Raskulls upon its release on Xbox Live Arcade
– A limited edition King figurine
– A Halfbrick T-shirt

Two runner-up winners will receive:
– A free copy of Raskulls upon its release on Xbox Live Arcade
– A limited edition King figurine
– A Halfbrick T-shirt

The contest closes June 17th, so don’t delay! Head over to Halfbrick’s Design a Raskull Competition page for full details, and don’t forget to check out the official Raskulls page for more information on what’s sure to be the downloadable charmer of Q3 2009. You can also follow Halfbrick Studios on Twitter to stay abreast of all the gaming mayhem they have in store.
