Trading the Wiimote for a Baseball Bat

Spring is slowly working towards Wisconsin. The snow has melted and the weather is warmer. It’s brought some green-like grass and has
(thankfully) made the boys drop their Wiimotes where they swing
“pretend” bats at “virtual” baseballs for the really cool stuff like bikes, baseball gloves, baseball bats and over-priced sports memorabilia.

This is really well timed with the move to JockDad.  Sports and more sports. We are leaving our nerdy tech-filled virtual-reality lives for the real-world of real guy-stuff – baseball opening day, running track at school and hitting the Milwaukee
Mile
for some racing.

We’ve had broken lamps and dented walls with their playing catch in the living room as the Milwaukee Brewer’s home opener gets closer and closer. This year the boys are convinced they will catch a foul ball or home-run ball. The oldest has recently suggested selling his
Nintendo DS console and games to get some cash so he can buy a
Brewer’s cap and a J.J. Hardy jersey. I will say it brought a tear to this JockDad’s eye, but we’ll get mom’s help with the sale on eBay because computers are for girls.
