National Geographic Kids is decked out in green in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, with a series of suitably themed activities available for kids. Features include facts on Ireland, a quiz about the history behind St. Patrick’s Day and a number of crafts like the candy shamrock pin. There’s a story on Green Invaders as well; invasive plant species may not have the same ring as leprechauns, but it certainly fits the green theme. If your kids are home for Spring Break, have a look and you might find something to keep them busy for a bit while slipping in some education without them even realizing it.
