Happy Birthday, Leonard Nimoy!

Leonard Simon Nimoy was born on March 26, 1931 in Boston, Massachusetts.

Anyone reading this blog will know that Nimoy is best known for portraying Mr. Spock on the original Star Trek television series. He is also a musician, a poet, an avid photographer and father of two. He has an extensive voice-over resume as well, appearing in various shows and video games.

Nimoy retired from acting in 2003 to concentrate on his photography, but has recently returned to the big screen to appear in the upcoming J.J. Abrams Star Trek feature film. (It opens on May 8, 2009, for those of you slackers not paying attention.)
