The side-splitting geeky British sitcom The IT Crowd will soon be available on DVD here in the states. If you haven’t watched this show yet, run don’t walk to your local DVD store on April 7 and grab a copy. You won’t be sorry.

My wife and I stumbled across this series a few months back, and quickly became addicted and plowed through all the available episodes as quickly as we could download them. The show takes place in the basement IT department of a faceless London company, and the two techies, Roy and Moss, both possess some charming personality quirks I expect you will quickly recognize.

The IT Crowd is a fairly family-friendly show; some episodes do deal with occasional adult themes and there’s a little salty language but nothing too risque. It gets a definite thumbs-up from our 13-year-old.

As you’d expect of geeky fare like this, all three seasons can be found out there on the internets. But I was thrilled to see that MPI Home Video is releasing the first season DVD set here in the U.S. on April 7. And that should mean that The IT Crowd will be coming to a video store near you soon!
