Today we mark the second anniversary (the cotton anniversary – hence the banner texture) of GeekDad. For all of us who are lucky enough to write here, it’s a big cause for celebration. All through the day, we’ll be posting our own answers to two questions: "why did you want to write for GeekDad?" and "What’s your favorite post from the last two years?"
But it’s not just about us. We’ve tried hard to build GeekDad into a community, and we want to hear from all of you. So, while the posts from our writers will scroll down the page during the day, this post will stay on top, and all of you, our GeekDad community are invited to leave your own picks for favorite posts or other messages.
And, as as our way of saying thanks to all of you, we’ll be picking someone at random from the comments to win a special GeekDad gift pack. We’re still putting it together, but at a minimum, it will include the following:
- A Spygear Spy Video ATV-360
- Magic the Gathering book "A Planeswalker’s Guide to Alara," and Naya Behemoths Intro Pack

But it doesn’t stop there!!! We also have the tremendous honor to be teaming up with LEGO – YES! LEGO! – for a very special contest. Build something with your kids using standard LEGO bricks, take a picture of you and your kids with your contest, send it in, and you could get picked to have that picture on a LEGO kit in 2010! More details in John Baichtal’s post below. But this is HUGE!
