Phillip José Farmer Crosses the River

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of science fiction author Phillip José Farmer, most famously known for the Riverworld series of books that told the story of humans from all eras of history waking up on the banks of a great river, and the journeys that followed.  These stories are past of the basic book-list for anyone discovering science fiction, and Farmer was a visionary writer.  He will be sorely missed.
