We wrote about geek-favorite writer Neil Gaiman’s wonderful young-readers story The Graveyard Book back in October, when he was touring the country supporting it, and linked to the online videos of Neil reading the book aloud.  Well, we are happy to spread the news today that Neil has won the coveted Newbery Medal given out each year to the author of the outstanding children’s book, for The Graveyard Book. We suggest you run over to his online journal and read his very funny account of being woken up by the announcement this morning and trying not to swear in his excitement. Congratulations, Mr. Gaiman! (oh, and you can congratulate him yourself via Twitter)
