Young Zed has been playing with his father’s wormhole generator. Flipping the wrong dial, he now finds himself stranded on a strangely advanced planet – sans generator – where the people do not look one another in the eye and do all of their speaking on portable devices they carry everywhere. They seem to have a machine similar to dad’s wormhole generator but he cannot get anyone’s attention to help him use it. To activate it, he must enter the proper sequence of the following hieroglyphs on a partially completed keypad:

Hieroglyphgrid_3Hieroglyphgrid_3

He has surmised that all five hieroglyphs must appear in each row and column.

How does Zed place the hieroglyphs so that all five are in each row and column?
