Time With Dad is Well Spent…But We Knew That

David Nettle, a psychologist out of the U.K. has used the much touted National Child Development Study   and has discovered that

"…At age 11, children of highly involved fathers boasted markedly higher IQs than children with less present dads. ‘This is not half a point, this is a few points of IQ, on average,’ he says."

One does not need a national study to tell us the effects of spending time with your kids. I have been, and remain, amazed at how much my kids pick up just from me being around – whether I want them to pick up things or not. But now we all have scientific credibility for making a nuisance of ourselves to our kids!
