You Let Your Kids Watch What!?! – “Stargate: Continuum”

Stargate: Continuum
is the second made-for-DVD movie release from the Stargate SG-1 franchise. It stars the entire final season cast, including Ben Browder, Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge, Claudia Black, Beau Bridges and Michael Shanks; and includes special appearances by Richard Dean Anderson and by the late Don S. Davis. Since this movie had no theatrical or broadcast release, it was not rated for content.

The story is familiar Stargate fare, albeit on a much larger canvas. It involves the recurring television series villain Ba’al, played Cliff Simon, who goes back in time to prevent the Stargate program from ever being started on Earth. The SG-1 team escapes the changes in the time-line, and must find a way to travel back in time themselves to put everything back in order.

Violence: As in other Stargate fare, there is lots and lots of gunfire. This movie shows a bit more blood than usual, however. One particularly gruesome scene (spoiler alert) has the top of a villian’s head sliced open with a sword. The hit takes place out of frame, but the victim is shown bleeding on the floor.

Language: The s-word is used twice and someone is referred to as an a-hole.
