Hosting a Dungeons and Dragons campaign at your local library is one thing, but how about an entire convention?

This weekend, the Peterborough Public Library hosts the 18th annual Phantasm Role-Playing Game Convention. As one of the longest running games conventions in Ontario, Phantasm attracts a crowd of locals and out-of-towners alike.

Organizer David Watson says on the con’s website, "My goal with Phantasm is to provide an opportunity to Peterborough’s Role Players to get together and recharge their creative batteries while sampling some of the best new games industry has to offer or take a break with an old favorite."

This year, to honor the passing of E. Gary Gygax, Phantasm will run sessions that span all four editions of Dungeons and Dragons.

The Phantasm Role-Playing Game Convention runs today and tomorrow at the Peterborough Public Library. For more information, check out the webpage.
