Where my family lives – in a large suburb in the Bay Area – the no-fireworks laws are pretty strict (and considering how many brush files are still burning in CA right now, probably not so crazy). Luckily, the in-laws live in a somewhat more laid-back area in the central valley, where you could find firework stands on pretty much every street corner. So, for everyone who missed out on fireworks this year, and for those who haven’t been part of an American Independence Day celebration before, I filled up the flash memory of my Flip camera with some of the show. Did anyone else out there do the street-corner fireworks thing, too? Any good stories?
