The Nerdy James Bond

Geek Culture

Our new friends at G4 have just hipped us to the second in their series of "It’s a Nerd’s World" spots that incorporate a number of notably nerdy hip-hoppers. This one features nerdcore MC, notorious former hacker, and, yes, geekdad YTCracker. It boasts crazy frenetic cuts, extras-a-plenty, and, if you look hard enough, a cameo from fellow rapper MC Lars.

For those unfamiliar with the name, YTCracker first gained notoriety in 1999 when the then 17 year-old defaced a number of government web sites – most notably that of NASA’s Goddard Flight Center – in an attempt to point out obvious security flaws. Since then a rehabilitated YT has gone on to produce several extremely influential (and delightfully profane) geeky rap album including 2005’s chippy Nerdrap Entertainment System and its 2006 follow-up Nerd Life.
