Not to start the day on a sad note, but it’s important that GeekDad pay its respects to Stan Winston, who passed away this weekend. Stan was responsible for the indelible images many of us grew up with as geeks and movie watchers: Terminator, Aliens, Jurassic Park, Predator, Galaxy Quest, and many more. As one of the founders of Digital Domain, his pioneering work in movie effects touched all of us. He will be missed.
