NASA announced that it has postponed the launch of the Gamma-ray Large Area Space Telescope (GLAST) until Wednesday, June 11, 2008. Additional time was required to replace the Delta II rocket’s flight termination system battery. The new launch window will be from 11:45 AM until 1:40 PM EDT. NASA Television will begin coverage at 9:45 AM and the broadcast will be streamed live on NASA’s website. This announcement supersedes the original launch date of June 7, which was announced on the most recent GeekDad Podcast. Visit www.nasa.gov/glast  for more information about the GLAST mission.
