So much brain power under one (cavernous) roof!  This is my first report from the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Atlanta, and I’ve already seen some great projects from some really bright kids.  This first video shows Alexander Wold and Jerald Farke with their project titled "Radio Controlled Reconnaissance: A Bird’s Eye View." Take a look in the Extended Post.

These gentlemen have done a tremendous amount of refinement and re-engineering of their plane, including modifying it with an augmented carbon-fiber rudder, painting the camera ports black to reduce glare, and optimizing cooling of their internal electronics by feeding the airstream over them.  Fantastic work!  And that’s only the beginning!

Thanks to Intel for bringing me to this great event!
