Kobold Quarterly’s Fourth Issue Teems With Promise, Gnomes

Geek Culture

Kq004cover500Kq004cover500The sole remaining professional roleplaying game magazine, Kobold Quarterly became number one by beheading all of its competitors in spectacular urban swordfights.

Actually, the talent-heavy KQ has thrived by occupying Dragon Magazine’s foolishly squandered niche and recruiting a lot of great writers left similarly dumbfounded by Wizards’ decision to take Dragon online.

Issue highlights:

  • Ecology of the Cloaker
  • a feature on a powerful angel
  • the gangs of Zobeck
  • how to improve gnomes
  • an interview with 4th Edition D&D artist William O’Connor
  • fighter feats
  • the full stats for mithral dragons.
  • the “Secret Adventure Naming Tables”

But wait! If you subscribe to KQ before April 18th, you’ll receive a free PDF of the Havenmine Gauntlet, a mini-adventure written by Adam Daigle and produced by Highmoon Media Productions.

KQ subscriptions run $16 for PDFs or $35.99 for paper + PDF, a little more outside the U.S.
