Maker Faire San Mateo: The Deadline for Makers is Here

Geek Culture

This year’s Maker Faire in San Mateo, CA is just a couple of months away and the deadline for Makers to participate is now upon us. If you and yours make cool stuff and want to show it off to the world, this is a great place to do it. Entries for participation will be accepted up until midnight of this Wednesday (3/19). Check out the Call for Makers page for all the details and the necessary form.

And mark your calendars for the weekend of May 3rd and 4th for this wonderful modern day science and craft fair. I just can’t recommend this event enough for Bay Area Geekdads and their families. There is so much to see and do and discover that I can almost guarantee that even if you only plan on going on Saturday, you’ll end up back at the San Mateo fairgrounds on Sunday too! Of course, the GeekDad crew will be represented and showing off some of our favorite stuff, so stop by and say "hi". I hope to see you there.

That photo is of my son Kindy pedaling a exercise bike/video game console mashup at last year’s Maker Faire. What would you like to see at this year’s Maker Faire?
