Knut: A Lovable Polar Bear and Way to Teach About the Environment

Here’s a great little book recommendation for your kids, especially if you want to find a graceful way to begin getting them informed about the environment and how threatened certain habitats are:

If you’re looking for a story to warm your heart and grab your kids interest as well, look no further than "Knut, How One Little Polar Bear
Captivated the World" released recently by Scholastic. It’s just a terrific story about the polar bear born at the Zoo Berlin back in
December of 2006 and the zookepper who nurtured and raised him when his own mother didn’t quite understand what mother polar bears do.

And while the story itself is fascinating and the photographs are excellent, there’s even a section on what you and your kids can do to help save the polar bear’s natural environment by taking steps to stop global warming.
