“Official” news is not in, but the word on the forums at Trolllord.com (publisher of his current work) is that Gary Gygax, the father of RPGs, has passed away. If this is indeed the case, then the world has lost a geek hero. Our condolences go out to his family and friends. Please feel free to leave your own recollections of playing D&D or other Gygax games in the comments, as a memorial to the man whose creations have meant so much to so many of us GeekDads.
