Apparently the FlyTech DragonFly is a little too lifelike. Wowwee’s super cool RC ornithopter (#3 on Time Magazine’s Inventions of the Year for 2007) has such a realistic flapping motion that a hawk swooped down and absconded with 5th-grader Danny McGorry’s toy. Digging through their records, Wowwee found an estimated 45 other cases over the past two months where various birds of prey ran roughshod over kids’ Christmas flyers.
