In the comments, reader Crystal has sent us a link to the gallerys posted from the Forecast Earth Summit we posted about back in October.

The first-ever Forecast Earth Summit presented by The Weather Channel was a great success. Twenty-two teenaged environmental superstars took part in the Summit in Washington, DC, December 7-9, 2007.

The event was kicked off by “Heroes” star Hayden Panettiere, who spoke about her environmental advocacy. The teens also heard from speakers such as TWC climatologist Dr. Heidi Cullen, musician and philanthropist
Adam Garner, and zoologist Jarod Miller, accompanied by his animals.

Scientist and TWC host Dr. Marcus Eriksen helped the students create a boat made entirely of recycled materials and launched it in the Potomac
River. The students even created their own public service announcements.

It sounds like a wonder time.  Go check it out!
