Star Wars: A Pop-Up Guide to the Galaxy

Geek Culture

I found myself dragging my son into a bookstore today — why the dragging, I don’t know. The kid loves books and rarely needs prodding to browse the aisles. Imagine his delight (and mine) when right at the front of the store on a big cardboard display was an open copy of Star Wars: A Pop-Up Guide to the Galaxy. Let me tell you, this thing must be seen to be believed. If you’ve already had the pleasure of reading any of the other Reinhart pop-ups (The Movable Mother Goose and Mommy? among them) you know what kind of artistry and precision to expect. But pop-up + Star Wars? Too good to be true!

I ended up with a good 15-20 minutes of uninterrupted time in the store to find my own treasures while my son turned the pages back and forth, literally watching the magic unfold.
