In our house, that gets counted as negative parenting points. Gadgets that I’m actually buying for myself but attempt to justify by claiming that it will be fun/educational/"something we can do together" are invariably spotted as such and banned.
I’m not sure the grandparents will appreciate the gesture either. Maybe my team at Wired? [kidding guys! (maybe)]
