In our house, lessons in saving start early. Every week, Emma gets a small allowance, which she gets to divvy up into “money for me,” “money to share” and “piggy bank.” She hasn’t yet realized that she can get money back out of the piggy, but I’m thinking that when she finally figures that out, Takara Tomy’s bomb box might be in order. Try to take money back out, and the LED “fuse” lights up. If you fail to learn the error of your ways quickly enough, the box “explodes,” showering your immediate environment with loose change.
