How Old am I Daddy? Exactly?

Countup Script OnlineCountup Script Online Here’s a great web script from the pages of DynamicDrive.com that can be used to show the real-time age of a geeklet in days, hours, minutes and seconds. It’s a great curiosity for kids’ (& pets’?) websites and you don’t need to be an uber-web-geek to get it working. All you need to do is copy & paste the script into your web page’s code and set your "zero hour" date and time (full instructions and demo on DynamicDrive).

It’s compatible with IE, Firefox and Opera and the script will run quite happily locally on a cellphone running Opera Mobile (see pic below – I couldn’t get it working on my PDA though, tchah!)

Countup Script running from page on N70 memory cardCountup Script running from page on N70 memory cardIf you’re really organised, you could add it to your homepage in advance of the geeklet’s birth and count up from the exact time of conception instead, e.g."It’s xx days, xx hours, x minutes and x seconds since I returned from the gym one sunday afternoon feeling a bit frisky".

For geekdads-to-be there’s also a countdown script, so you can count off the minutes and seconds until the little one arrives (assuming you end up one of the few couples whose baby makes an appearance on its "due date"!)

As for how you answer the question "But Daddy where was I before the timer started?" – I’ll leave that to your own imagination.
