Groovy Music for Kids

Geek Culture

Sibelius, a company that makes music software that’s been used by people such as Ray Charles, Andy Summers of The Police, and Alf Clausen, has come out with an educational software series aimed at 5-11 year-olds.  It’s called Groovy Music, and, while it’s clearly being marketed more for teachers, I think it looks like one heck of a lot of fun.

It comes in three sets: one for ages 5-7, one for 7-9, and one for 9-11.  Each set is listed at $69 on the Sibelius website, which seems like a pretty good deal, and, probably because it’s aimed at schoolteachers, the hardware requirements aren’t outrageous.
