If you’re not already hyped for the September release of Wii U-exclusive Super Mario Maker… Well, then maybe I didn’t do it justice in my pre-E3 hands-on coverage.
Or maybe you’re just notoriously hard to impress. Either way, gaze upon Nintendo’s latest sizzle reel and be amazed. It’s seven minutes of madcap Mario mash-ups–not to mention a number of new reveals.
The unlockable “SFX frog” allows you to drop new sounds directly into the level editor–including custom-created effects. There’s also big news about amiibo support; Super Mario Maker boasts compatibility with more than 50 figures, including Link, Wii Fit Trainer, and Kirby.
Give it a gander below, and then proceed directly Amazon to pre-order your copy. Why Amazon? Because Prime subscribers get a cool $10 off the pre-order price when shipped and sold by Amazon!
Hi Z,
I went to pre-order and don’t see the $10 off deal when using my Prime account. Did the deal already come and go or am I missing something?
Nevermind… I saw it once I got to the shopping cart. Thanks for the heads up!
Glad it worked out for you, Shane! I’m really hoping Amazon continues to add more little perks like this for Prime subscribers.
My oldest is really looking forward to this and Disney Infinity 3.0. He loves building video game worlds so when I told him about Super Mario Maker, he got excited. It’s his 12th birthday today, so I think he might be using some birthday money towards Super Mario Marker. (We’re getting him Disney Infinity 3.0.)
We really are in the golden age of creative gaming! 🙂
