Marian Call at Poor David’s Pub in Dallas

Entertainment Geek Culture Music

Once again the lovely and talented Marian Call will be performing at Poor David’s in Dallas. If you are in the area this Sunday evening (June 14, 2015), I encourage you to join us. Doors are at 6:30. In past years the show was finished by 9 or 9:30 so it’s not too terribly late to bring the kids. Poor David’s is a great little listening room with a modest bar a bit south if I-30 on South Lamar Street. Other Texas dates include Austin and Houston before a quick trip up the west coast and then some summer conventions.

Previous shows have all been Marian with one guitarist, usually Scott Barkan or Bryan Ray. This show she’s promising a full band, and, while I have no idea what exactly that will be, I can assure you that it will be awesome, entertaining, and a lot of fun. You can find out more info about Marian at her site, MarianCall.com and about Poor David’s at PoorDavidsPub.com

Also, in case you missed Jonathan’s post last month, Marian Call, Molly Lewis, and Alaskan Robotics released an extremely cool “sweded” version of David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” and put the video on Youtube. It’s been noticed by a lot of cool people on the internet, including a link on David Bowie’s site.
