Happy Star Wars Reads Day!

Tomorrow (Saturday, October 11) is the third annual Star Wars Reads Day, with events going on all over the world. Pick up a Star Wars book and read it with your kids, or look for an event near you. Every Barnes & Nobles and Books-a-Million store nationwide will have an event, and many other libraries and independent bookstores are also hosting events.

A few personal recommendations for suggested titles: Tony DiTerlizzi’s new picture book Star Wars: The Adventures of Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knight; Jeffrey Brown’s Darth Vader & Son series; and Tom Angleberger’s Origami Yoda series.

  1. I just introduced my 5-year old son to the revelation at the end of Empire (it was wicked hard keeping that one under wraps) via the new ‘Adventures of Luke Skywalker: Jedi Knight’ book with McQuarrie’s art. I couldn’t recommend this book highly enough.

    1. As much as I would prefer my kids to find out from actually watching the movie, I do think Tony D did a fantastic job giving McQuarrie’s art and that particular moment space to shine.
