It’s only a couple more weeks now until The Desolation of Smaug hits the theaters, and Peter Jackson has just released his 13th production diary video. It covers events up to the final day of pick up shoot — with sets being dismantled and plenty of joking about what to do next. We see what Martin Freeman and his dwarf buddies get up to between takes and meet the Master of Laketown, played by Stephen Fry. There’s a brief glimpse of Benedict Cumberbatch which segues nicely into a sequence about the creation of the titular dragon before ending with a bit where Peter Jackson is filming inside a virtual set with a specially adapted camera.
