Launching Paper Rockets

Geek Culture

Maker and geeky dad Tom Heck recently helped kids build and launch over 300 paper rockets at the LEAF festival. He shows off the fun in the video above, but even better, he posts the printable rocket templates and shows in detail how to make the pressurized-air system for launching them. This is the kind of project any GeekDad could put together in a day, and keep kids happy with for years!

  1. Here’s how we launch ours. 🙂 I have a ton of requests for the source. I’ll get it up on github. I swear. Leave me a comment on the vid, so I can notify everyone when it’s there.

  2. Hmmmm…. Youtube link doesn’t show up. Go there and search for “Arduino powered rocket launch controller “.
