Thanks for the heads up! I have been trying to buy tickets, but Cinemark tells me that my cart contains more tickets than are available and Fandango looks like it is not even set up for sales yet, although states they should already be on sale. There will be much sadness if we missed out on these (feel like I’m trying to get PAX tickets!)
I had the same experience as well. That’s just bad usability, and both sites have lost my trust.
Try CineMark again. I actually made it through this time.
SOLD OUT!
The tickets for my local showing sold out within minutes, and I didn’t get my order for four tickets submitted in time. I was watching both Cinemark and Fandango, and the Fandango site really let me down! I thought I was on the right page, but it turns out it was a preview page NOT the purchase page. But there was no link to purchase and a “coming soon” message which made it look as if the event was still not ready.
Disappointing, but I guess that means we’ll be having a TV party on the 23rd.
UPDATE: So, I did get tickets. Still not sure how, since it had said it was sold out, but was working on an article about usability, and went through the cinemark process again and was able to get tickets. Happy, happy, joy, joy.
Glad to hear you got tickets. I tried a number of times but no luck, with it eventually simply stating that the time was sold out. Very disappointed, but I suppose we’ll be able to pause if we need to use the bathroom 🙂
Wowzers! For reasons unknown, I just went back to Cinemark (10:40am PDT) and while the show time was still marked as unavailable, a second show time (the same time as the unavailable one) was listed and I was able to purchase my tickets. Not sure how this will go down on the 23rd, but will be making sure we are at the front of the line. Worth checking back if denied earlier!
Awesome! I also see it is playing in central PA, in Harrisburg.
