Portland Retro Gaming Expo

As if the Wordstock book festival wasn’t enough to attract you to Portland, Oregon, next weekend, here’s something else to consider: the Portland Retro Gaming Expo, October 5-6. If you’re a fan of classic video and arcade games, this is the place to be. Aside from a slew of speakers and panels, there are also console tournaments, a cosplay contest, and the Supercade—20,000 square feet of full-size arcade cabs and pinball machines set on free play.

Can’t decide between books and games? Well, lucky for you: both are taking place at the Oregon Convention Center, so maybe you can attend both! (I’ll be attempting to visit both shows this weekend—we’ll see how well that works!)

Advance tickets are $20 for Saturday, $15 for Sunday, or $25 for a weekend pass. You can also get family passes, and kids 10 and under are free with a paid adult. Visit the Portland Retro Gaming Expo website for more details.

  1. You totally have me sold on the con by mentioning the Pinball.

Sadly, I can’t make it to Portland this weekend. For that matter I can’t make it to Seattle for BrickCon either.

    So much awesome.
