New Cosmos with Neil deGrasse Tyson Gets an Awesome Trailer

Space & Astronomy Technology Television Videos

We at GeekDad have been anxiously awaiting the new Cosmos series, to be hosted by the one and only Neil deGrasse Tyson, since it was first announced nearly two years ago. FOX has just released the first official trailer for the series at Comic-Con International, and it’s just as awesome (and I mean that literally) as I’d hoped it would be.

Now, we just need to keep FOX from pulling a Firefly on it. With Tyson, National Geographic Channel, and Carl Sagan’s widow Ann Druyan involved — to say nothing of Seth MacFarlane, who helped get the show off the ground and is co-producing it — I think it’s safe to say there are enough heavy hitters involved that FOX will at least try to give it the respect it deserves.

Cosmos: A Space-Time Odyssey is set to begin airing in the second quarter of 2014. I can’t wait!

  1. When I try to watch the video, it says that it’s been marked “private”. I get that from any of the sites that have embedded it like above. Searching directly on youtube doesn’t find it. Odd.

    1. The folks at FOX must’ve swapped out the version I posted with a new one. I’ve replaced the embed with the new version, so it should work now.

      Thanks for the heads-up!
