It is rare where I find myself envious of a movie’s character but there is one character in particular of whom I am madly jealous. That would be Tony Stark of Iron Man fame. The funny thing is I don’t particularly envy the Iron Man armor so much as his tech collection in total. He has: a workshop that is every Maker’s dream; a car collection that makes any enthusiast or restorer drool; and he also, always, has the latest and greatest cell phones. Iron Man 3 is coming to theaters on May 3rd but Alcatel, maker of the One Touch Idol Android phone featured in the movie, wants to give you a chance to see it at the red carpet premiere on April 24th.
The One Touch Idol is the next phone in the One Touch family of products. The phone runs on Android Jelly Bean and features a dual core 1 GHz processor and weighs in at a very light 110 grams. If you go to the Alcatel Facebook page, you can be entered to win an all expenses paid trip to the Iron Man 3 premiere on April 24th. Even if you don’t win there but are in the market for a new phone, from April 14th to May 11th, if you purchase a One Touch Authority at Radio Shack, you will receive two free passes to see Iron Man 3.
